SHOW & TELL ACTIVITY: A UNIQUE WAY TO LEARN ABOUT FRUITS
There’s an old saying - “An apple a day keeps the doctor away.’’ This is quite true as fruits play a vital role in our lives. Taking this view into consideration, Presidium, Faridabad recently organized a ‘Show and Tell’ activity on fruits for students of grade 1. In this activity, the Presidians brought related props, like toys, flashcards, and real fruits of their choice and spoke a few lines on the same. They also showcased their lingual talent with full pride and confidence in front of their teachers and friends. This activity provided them with a good platform to articulate their thoughts and develop exceptional oratory skills. Our little learners also gained knowledge about the importance of eating fruits in order to remain healthy.
ANIMAL MASK MAKING ACTIVITY FOSTERS OBSERVATION-BASED LEARNING
Mask making is a traditional way in which people transformed themselves into an animal, plant or character.
We recently organised a mask making activity which was truly enjoyed by our little Presidians of grade pre-nursery. Children actively participated in the hands on activity and learnt about different animals. The students wore the masks they created which was followed by an excellent dramatic and healing activity. Students became the animals their masks portrayed, then spoke for those beings in relation to human behavior towards nature. The day ended as an interesting observation-based lesson of mask making and different animals with ample dose of fun and learning.
BRINGING BACK VICTORY FROM NATIONAL ROLLER SKATING CHAMPIONSHIP

We, at Presidium, seize every opportunity to enroll our children for competitions that give them the exposure to explore their talents to the best of their abilities. Our budding skating maestros got one such opportunity recently in National Open Roller Skating Championship 2018 held at Talkatora Stadium, New Delhi. We are extremely proud of the following students who enthusiastically participated in Quads and won laurels for the school :
- Ranveer Singh of grade 4 & Shourya Yadav of grade 6 bagged the 2nd position.

EXTEMPORE COMPETITION: YOUNG SPEAKERS GET A MINUTE TO WIN IT!
An ‘Extempore’ is an impromptu speech in which the person has to speak on a given topic without any prior preparation. It helps in testing a child’s ability to think and connect with the audience. It also develops their communication skills, fluency, pronunciation and overall presentation skills, confidence, spontaneity, poise, composure etc. Taking this view into consideration, Presidium Faridabad, organized an ‘Extempore Competition’ for the students of grade 9 & 10 on the general current affairs in which they spoke a few lines on the respective topic for about a minute. Through this competition, the children were able to learn the skills of prioritizing and sequencing in order to display their logical thinking.

WORKSHOP ON EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING FOR OUR TEACHERS
A teacher is a learner before he/she is a teacher. The spirit of bettering oneself is what defines an educationist.
In this regard, it is essential for teachers to constantly upgrade themselves, attain a set of differential skills, and improve upon practiced strategies. A workshop by the honourable Principal Ms. Veena Gaur was recently conducted at Presidium, Faridabad for teachers on understanding the role of experiential learning in generating interest among students and familiarizing them with concepts by connecting with real life scenarios, themselves. Ms.Veena guided teachers through more efficient ways of teaching, planning, and strategizing their lessons and activities so as to maximize learning for students. She also discussed about how every lesson may be consciously integrated into the framework of experiential learning for the benefit of both—students as well as teachers. The workshop created an impact on the minds of participants to enhance their learning outcomes.
THROWBALL MATCH: GRAND SHOW OF POTENTIAL, SKILL & TEAM SPIRIT
Games sustain physical and emotional well being of an individual, providing him/her opportunities for positive social interaction, learning, health and independence. Presidium, Faridabad always aims at harmonizing studies and fun for the students with the purpose of their enjoyment, learning and overall development. Keeping this in mind, an ‘Interclub Throwball’ competition was recently organized for grades 9 & 10 in the school playground. Students came prepared on the court with a thorough knowledge about the rules of the game. They showed immense potential, great team coordination and spirit. All the participants played with tremendous zeal and enthusiasm amid loud cheers from the supporting clubs. This competition provided the students a wonderful prospect to exhibit their aptitude.
LITTLE PRESIDIANS BEAT THE HEAT WITH FUN-FILLED SPLASH POOL PARTY
Summer is no fun without a pool party!
Our young Presidians from grades pre-nursery, nursery & prep had a great time splashing water at the pool party. With the summer season in full swing, it was the perfect time for our young Presidians to beat the heat, splish & splash in the pool and have lots of fun. An exciting rain dance party was also organized for the excited Presidians. Dressed in colourful swimsuits, our young ones had a great time as they got drenched in water with their friends and favourite toys. Special arrangements like fountain and music were made for them while the swings, balls, etc made the experience all the more delightful for them.
