ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE AWARDS 2018: HONORING PROUD ACHIEVERS
Time and again our Presidians prove that there is no substitute to hard work, be it through their co-curricular achievements or academic achievements and to acknowledge their spirit and motivation, a time-honored academic tradition, the ‘Academic Excellence Awards’ was recently celebrated by Presidium Faridabad. The ceremony commemorated the academic rigor of the students. It was graced by the benign presence of our honourable Chairperson Mrs.Sudha Gupta who felicitated the achievers for their ace results and 100% attendance with trophies and certificates of recognition. The teachers & parents of such brilliant students were also acknowledged for their constant support and motivation which is one of the key factors for children for delivering persistent results as excellence is an art won by training and habituation. Hence, it was an overwhelming and encouraging event which motivated the learners to leave their mark in history.
INTRACLASS QUIZ COMPETITION: TESTING PRESIDIANS' KNOWLEDGE!
Quiz competitions help to enhance significant knowledge retention by igniting interest and placing theoretical subjects in a real world perspective. An intraclass quiz competition was recently held for the students of grades 4 & 5. The quiz began with an introduction of the quiz master and the contestants. The participants skillfully and confidently answered the questions asked even though some of the questions were very tricky. The questions put forth were intriguing, exciting and made the audience gasp and clap when the teams answered correctly. Every round was included a mix of questions from science, sports, social science, languages and mathematics. Indeed, the competition helped students in showing their hidden talents and gaining a meaningful experience.
COLOURING COMPETITION: LEARNING FOCUS & COORDINATION WITH ART!
Colors are vibration of lights. They are present all around us and are involved in every aspect of our life. Nature abounds in the richness of colors and gives us immense pleasure. Therefore, to make kids aware about the beauty of colors, Presidium Faridabad organized a coloring competition for grades Nursery and Prep. Coloring helps in self expression, color recognition, building motor skills, coordination and focus. Kids were very excited as they were able to showcase their imagination, choice of colors and their creativity to the fullest. All the kids actively participated and thoroughly enjoyed.
PMUN TRAINING EQUIPS STUDENTS WITH AN ARRAY OF SKILLS
Keeping the values in mind of leaving no stone unturned in providing the students every opportunity to turn themselves into future global leaders, Presidium Faridabad recently arranged PMUN (Presidium Model United Nations) training for three days in order to prepare the students for Presidium Model United Nations Conference 2018 by the experts. The training program included an overview of the UN’s key aims and objectives, the roles, functions of its various funds, and rules of procedure typically followed by Model UN conferences, among other interactive sessions. There were some excellent questions and observations made by the students that appeared during the sessions. It was a great experience for the students to explore issues of global concern, arrive at solutions by consensus, and learn about diplomacy, teamwork, and leadership.

With hearts packed with happiness and pride, the Presidium family congratulates the following students for bagging medals and securing positions at the ‘District Junior Chess Championship’ 2018, held at SRS International School, Faridabad, recently.
-Dorri Sharma, Jayan Taneja and Dev Aggarwal of grade 10 bagged the 2nd, 3rd, and 8th positions respectively in under 17 boys category.
-Priyank Kaushik of grade 1 got the ‘Best Effort Prize’ in under 7 boys’ category.

FASHION SHOW ON RAINY SEASON: WHEN LEARNING IS DONE IN STYLE!

In order to make the learning more exciting Presidium Faridabad organized a ‘Rainy Season Fashion Show’ program recently for the young students. It was a perfect amalgamation of profound stage presence, cute avatars, and dynamic performances. The fashion show was on ‘Rainy Season’ where our little Presidians flaunted their beautiful umbrellas, gumboots, and raincoats. The program was arranged to foster learning with fun where they could dress-up and learn more about the rainy season, the clothes, and accessories used, etc. The audience and teachers were overjoyed to see such a spectacular show put up by these young students.
SHOW & TELL ACTIVITY: A UNIQUE WAY TO LEARN ABOUT FRUITS
There’s an old saying - “An apple a day keeps the doctor away.’’ This is quite true as fruits play a vital role in our lives. Taking this view into consideration, Presidium, Faridabad recently organized a ‘Show and Tell’ activity on fruits for students of grade 1. In this activity, the Presidians brought related props, like toys, flashcards, and real fruits of their choice and spoke a few lines on the same. They also showcased their lingual talent with full pride and confidence in front of their teachers and friends. This activity provided them with a good platform to articulate their thoughts and develop exceptional oratory skills. Our little learners also gained knowledge about the importance of eating fruits in order to remain healthy.
ANIMAL MASK MAKING ACTIVITY FOSTERS OBSERVATION-BASED LEARNING
Mask making is a traditional way in which people transformed themselves into an animal, plant or character.
We recently organised a mask making activity which was truly enjoyed by our little Presidians of grade pre-nursery. Children actively participated in the hands on activity and learnt about different animals. The students wore the masks they created which was followed by an excellent dramatic and healing activity. Students became the animals their masks portrayed, then spoke for those beings in relation to human behavior towards nature. The day ended as an interesting observation-based lesson of mask making and different animals with ample dose of fun and learning.
BRINGING BACK VICTORY FROM NATIONAL ROLLER SKATING CHAMPIONSHIP
Skating is not merely a sport but an art that helps one in self-empowerment and self-reliance. We, at Presidium, seize every opportunity to enroll our children for competitions that give them the exposure to explore their talents to the best of their abilities. Our budding skating maestros got one such opportunity recently in National Open Roller Skating Championship 2018 held at Talkatora Stadium, New Delhi. We are extremely proud of the following students who enthusiastically participated in Quads and won laurels for the school :
- Ranveer Singh of grade 4 & Shourya Yadav of grade 6 bagged the 2nd position.
- Lakshay Chokkar and Ojas Narang of grade 4 stood 3rd.
PRESIDIUM BAGS 5 MEDALS AT INTERNATIONAL TAEKWONDO CHAMPIONSHIP
Continuing with the legacy of roaring success in sports, the Presidians went an extra mile to achieve their goals. Five eager beavers of Presidium, Faridabad, namely Devansh Dubey of grade 9, Sanjeevani Aggarwal of grade 10 and Diti Kansal of grade 6 won silver Medals and Lakshay Panwar of grade 7 and Sneha Dagar of grade 10 won bronze medals in the 3rd India Open International Taekwondo Championship 2018 held recently at Thayagraj Indoor Stadium, INA, New Delhi under the aegis of Taekwondo Federation of India. 2500 students from 15 different schools participated in the championship. The Taekwondo kids of Presidium, took part enthusiastically and became the centre of attraction with their impeccable kicks, punches and blocks as they recorded their impressive victory at the Championship.
