QUIZ COMPETITION: PRESIDIANS ENRICH THEIR GENERAL KNOWLEDGE
Presidium Faridabad recently organized an Inter-class/club Quiz Competition for the students of grade 9 and 10. The participants had to go through mazes of intuited and mind boggling rounds consisting of questions related to General Knowledge with special emphasis on Current Affairs, Environmental Sciences, Mathematical and Reasoning Ability, Music, Astronomy and English. There were 5 rounds in all which included ‘Option’, ‘True/False’, ‘Bonus’, ‘Buzzer’ and Visual. It was very informative and knowledge enriching competition for the participants along with the audience. The audience also got chance to participate every time when the participants answered incorrectly. The head of the school thanked the jury members and coordinators. She congratulated the winning participants and encouraged all the students to participate in such knowledge enriching competitions.
PRESIDIANS DISPLAY IMPRESSIVE ORATORY SKILL AT DEBATE COMPETITION
Debating requires a skill set that translates directly into academic, social and professional application. It develops creative thinking, problem-solving, active listening, critical analysis and prioritization. Keeping this in mind, Presidium Faridabad organized an Inter Class Debate Competition for the students of grades 6 to 8. The students were judged on the basis of their organization and clarity of ideas, use of arguments, cross examination, presentation style and factual details. From grade 6, Rayirth Kundu bagged the first position whereas Kavya Aggarwal secured the second position and Gunjan Gupta secured the third position. From grade 7, Akshay Bhatia bagged the first position, Asit Diwedi secured the second position and Nikita Dewani bagged the third position. From grade 8, Aarambh Maan secured the first position, Raunak Gupta bagged the second position and Joy Aditya achieved the third position. Navya Sharma and Sanskriti Singh (grade 6), Chinoi Dutta Chowdhury, Kartikay Verma and Nilesh P. Singh (grade 7) and Shitij Bhardwaj and Lakshay Hooda (grade 8) achieved the consolation certificates

Positive student recognition is a great incentive and motivator of continued student progress of good behavior. It allows them to continue to work even harder and do their best. It accelerates their morale and enthusiasm. With this thought, Presidium Faridabad recently organized the ‘Chairperson Honors’ ceremony. The ceremony was graced by our honorable Chairperson, Mrs.Sudha Gupta who felicitated the students with trophies and certificates of recognition for their enthralling performance in the field of Sports and Olympiad. They were applauded for their dedication and were fortified to continue to perform with the same vigor, exuberance and diligence. Students also performed a scintillating dance performance. Parents were also filled with pride after seeing their children being recognized for their endeavors. It was a momentous day for the Presidium family.
DUSSEHRA: CELEBRATING THE VICTORY OF LORD RAMA AND THE MANKIND
India is known as the land of festivals and celebrations. Keeping the festive spirit alive, Presidium Faridabad celebrated a special assembly to celebrate Dussehra with gusto and zeal. The festival signifies the victory of goodness over evil and light over darkness. Dressed in traditional attire, students performed a narrative drama and devotional song to portray the celebration of this festival. The students dramatized the story of Lord Rama and Sita and the defeat of Ravana. Students also depicted the celebration of “Durga Puja” in West Bengal. The assembly culminated with a melodious bhajan. The school Principal Ms Veena Gaur appreciated the effort of the students and emphasized that this day is considered not only the victory of Ram but also the victory of mankind. Summing up, the event was a learning experience for all about our rich Indian culture and values.
PRESIDIANS CREATE BEAUTIFUL ARTWORK ON THE THEME OF DUSSEHRA
Dussehra is one of the most important Hindu festival celebrated every year all over the country. The festival indicates the victory of good over the evil power. Keeping this view into consideration, the young students of grade Pre Nursery to 1 Presidium Faridabad created beautiful crafts on the theme Dussehra. The students of Pre-Nursery made a beautiful Ravana Mask, those of Nursery and Prep accomplished coloring in the image of Ravana. The zealous Presidians of grade 1 were indulged in creating an amazing Finger puppet of Ravana with the help of their teacher. All the students had a wonderful time constructing and showcasing their artistic talent.
INTERNATIONAL DAY OF GIRL CHILD: HAIL GIRL POWER!
Since 2012, 11 October has been marked as the International Day of the Girl Child. The day aims to highlight and address the needs and challenges girls’ face, while promoting women empowerment and the fulfillment of their human rights. To celebrate girl power in their own unique way, the Presidians conducted a special assembly. The young students expressed their take on empowerment with spectacular speeches. A dance performance was also performed by the talented artists to showcase that women are rising in every sphere of life and they are truly unstoppable. It was a magnificent sight to behold wherein the students confidently vouched for gender equality and pledged for a change.
TALENT HUNT: BRINGING THE BEST OUT OF OUR YOUNG PRESIDIANS
PRESIDIANS SALUTE THE FATHER OF NATION ON GANDHI JAYANTI

To commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of a legend who rose to the level of Mahatma for his altruism and selflessness, the national festival of Gandhi Jayanti was gloriously celebrated at Presidium Faridabad. The assembly commenced with a prayer by the school choir, which kindled a feeling of devotion and patriotism in all. The students shared the inspirational anecdotes from Gandhiji’s life encouraging them to think about the simple living of Gandhiji. Principal Ms. Veena Gaur delivered a motivational speech encouraging students to adopt Gandhiji’s way of life and principles in their own.
PRESIDIANS WIN ‘BELTS’ AND HEARTS AT TAEKWONDO ACTIVITY

With an intent to create future sports stars, Presidium Faridabad organised our 1st belt test under the aegis of Haryana Taekwondo Association. Ranks in Taekwondo, vary from the style and are not standardized. Students and practitioners wear belts ranging in colors from white (lowest) to black (highest). The various colors represent a student’s competence in the sport and perhaps even more significantly the progressions through the ranks reflect the inner journey taken by the students earning the sash. A total of 33 students took part in the activity. 4 students were awarded the Green Belts and 29 students were awarded the Yellow Belts. We congratulate all the students for the achievement they accomplished as a result of their hard work and dedication.
SPELLATHON: PRESIDIANS ENHANCE THEIR KNOWLEDGE OF WORDS
Knowing how to spell is important for writing, reading and is the most useful skill which builds the basic foundation of the education journey of a student. To enrich the vocabulary, pronunciation and understanding of words, an Intra-Class Spellathon Competition was recently conducted at Presidium
Faridabad for the students of grades 6 to 8. Featuring multiple rounds like Warm up, Jumbled words, Similar words, Guess the right words and the Audience round, it was a fun-filled contest. The contestants were asked to spell words from topics like Environmental Sciences, Literature, Medical Sciences and day-to-day life. The audience was also abuzz with excitement, cheering for their respective classes. The participants took part in the competition enthusiastically. They got an exposure to a world of new words and won accolades for their brilliant performances. The competition also aimed at sharpening the students’ language skills.
