PRESIDIANS MAKE THEIR MOTHERS FEEL SPECIAL THIS MOTHER'S DAY
To celebrate the role of mothers in our lives, Presidians of Faridabad recently conducted a special assembly on the occasion of Mother’s Day. The teachers made an earnest effort to instill the importance of a mother in a child’s life through effective thematic presentations, moral stories and video clippings. Our little ones had something more special and unique to bring a smile on their beloved mothers’ face. They passionately got involved in making beautiful greeting cards for their mothers. They also intensely and devotedly spoke about their mothers. Heart-warming feelings filled the air with intimacy, gratitude, appreciation and acknowledgement as the Presidians proudly echoed with the quote - 'Mother will be our door to Paradise so, let’s love, respect and care for our Mother everyday”. It was indeed, an enjoyable and memorable day for each and every child which left an indubitable mark on the innocent hearts!
PRESIDIANS HIGHLIGHT THE EVIL OF CHILD LABOUR WITH NUKKAD NATAK
Considering the importance of oral education in the form of drama and to sensitize our students of grades 11 and 12 towards the burning social issue of child labour, a Nukkad Natak was recently organized at Presidium Faridabad, on the occasion of International Labour Day. Conveying the message that child labour is a stigma to our society and that all children must avail their constitutional right of education at all cost, the senior Presidians made some thought-provoking points. They presented a beautiful play, which helped the audience to learn how they can contribute in eradicating the menace of child labour from our society. The young actors of the school were lauded for leaving an ineffaceable mark on the minds of the audience through their flawless performance!
ELOCUTION COMPETITION GIVES AMPLE STAGE EXPOSURE TO THE STUDENTS

In an effort to lay special emphasis on building communication and oratory skills of our students of grades 4 and 5, an Elocution Competition was recently organized at Presidium, Faridabad. In this competition, various topics such as preservation of water, deforestation, my favourite famous personality and nature, were covered. The children participated enthusiastically in the competition and delivered their speeches confidently. The program tested various aspects of language, like pronunciation, accent, diction, knowledge, body language and other facial expressions and gestures. Overall, the competition proved extremely enlightening and informative for the young Presidians!
PRESIDIANS CELEBRATES WORKERS' ACHIEVEMENTS ON WORLD LABOUR DAY
Recently, to acknowledge the achievements of workers in various fields and to promote the requirements of eight-hour working day, our students conducted a special assembly on the occasion of Labour Day at Presidium, Faridabad. The little grade prep Presidians paid tribute to the labour class by coming dressed up as helpers like Doctor, Plumber, and Electrician. They spoke few lines on the same, which was followed by grade 8 students' speech about the importance of Labour Day. Our senior Presidians of grades 11 and 12 also showcased an alluring Nukkad Nattak in front of the audience, displaying the condition of the small underprivileged children under the age of 14, who are being exploited by many at their working places. Apprising the leaders of tomorrow about the condition of the labourers, the assembly made them more sympathetic and grateful toward them!
PRESIDIANS JOIN THE GLOBAL CELEBRATION OF ART ON WORLD DANCE DAY
Dance is a source of communication between body and soul that expresses what words cannot. World dance day is a global celebration of universality of this art form, to cross all political, cultural and ethnic barriers and bring people together through one common language, that is Dance. Keeping the above thought in mind, Presidium, Faridabad organized a special assembly on World Dance Day in which the significance related to this day was shared very beautifully. The kids actively participated in different dance forms like classical, western, folk etc. It was an enlightening day for the students as they were transcended into the world of dance and learning.

To make World Book Day a unique & learning experience for the Presidians, a special assembly was conducted that encouraged children to explore the pleasure of books and reading. A poem highlighting the significance of books in our lives was recited and the students were informed about the myriad horizons, a habit of reading opens for a child, through an informative speech. RENOWNED DANCE GURUS PERFORM AT PRESIDIUM IN AEGIS OF SPIC MACAY
The SPIC MACAY (Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music And Culture Amongst Youth) is a voluntary youth movement which promotes intangible aspects of Indian Cultural Heritage. In order to achieve its goals, SPIC MACAY organizes concerts, workshops, and talks by eminent scholars and thinkers. To enhance love for Indian culture and heritage among the youth, Ms. Kavita Dwibedi, daughter and disciple of Odissi maestro Guru Harekrishna Behera, was cordially invited to Presidium, Faridabad. She enlightened the students about the passion and the ecstasy that various dance forms gift to the human soul. The students tapped their feet to the classical music echoing in the air and enjoyed the special performance. They were inspired by the rich Indian cultural heritage as well as got a deeper knowledge of the classical dance forms. Watching the legends perform in their very exotic style made the workshop a great experience for the students as well as teachers.
INTER-CLASS CARROM COMPETITION: IMPRESSIVE SHOW OF SPORTSMANSHIP
Carrom is one of the most popular indoor games played all over the world. It is a scientific game based on physics and geometry. It challenges and stimulates the brain. Young Presidians, who have meticulously been trained in skills required viz. knowledge of angles, deftness of touch, keen sight and superlative control of nerves, ardently participated in the recently conducted ‘Inter Class Carrom Competition’. Each participant played the game with finesse. After some really close and nail biting finishes the competition concluded with the following proud winners:

Tapasya Kaushik, Amit Dahiya, Sonakshi Bandyopadhyay and Yash Karhana - attained the first position.
Aalya Sharma, Ujas Narang, Pihu Dhankar and Lakshay Chhokar - bagged the second position
Anushka Singh, Ranveer Singh, Jiya Taver and Sanskaar Sharma - clinched the third position.
Grade 6 & 7:
Hazel Sharma and Dhruv Mazumdar - won the first position.
Bhoomi Sharma and Aditya Kaushik - grabbed the second position
Navya Sharma and Joydeep Singh Gulati - stood third.
Grade 8 & 9:
Nikita Dewani, Laksh Maan, Esther Chandra and Lakshay Hooda - clinched the first position
Gunjan, Dharmesh Singh, Ananya Goswami and Govind Somani - bagged the second position
Diya Virmani, Mayank Sharma, Mayank Singh and Kushagra Tiwari - stood third.

Our Mother Earth has her own day of celebration, which was recently celebrated through a special assembly, wherein we paused to think about the environment at Presidium, Faridabad. Stressing on environmental education, efforts to green the school and engage the whole student community in making a difference, the Earth Day conveyed the message towards protecting our precious earth and its valuable resources. A small skit was presented by the senior students, addressing various critical issues like noise, air and water pollution, where the Earth was personified as a sick person. The children’s endeavour was greatly appreciated and lauded by all!
RHYMES ON BODY PARTS ACTIVITY ENHANCES TODDLERS' LANGUAGE SKILLS
In order to strengthen our pre-nursery students’ language skills, which is considered a significant aspect of child’s language development and growth, Presidium Faridabad, organized an activity on ‘Rhymes on Body Parts’ recently. In this activity, little Presidians recited a rhyme titled ‘Chubby Cheeks’ in which they identified various body parts and learned their functions. The main idea was to encourage them to speak uninhibitedly and confidently with improved vocabulary in the English language. It was deeply elevating to see young Presidians talking with confidence and showing their brilliance to all!
