YOUNG PRESIDIANS BOOST THEIR LANGUAGE SKILLS WITH SPELL BEE
Spell Bee is an activity wherein students learn new words and how to spell them. It’s a great way to generate interest in spelling and to motivate students to develop interest in the language. It not only helps in enhancing a vocabulary, but aids in developing students’ cognitive skills and boosts their confidence. Taking this view into consideration, Presidium Faridabad organized a Spell Bee Activity for the students of grade Prep. The students were well prepared and were asked to spell out the words from the vowels taught by their teacher. They came across many new words and its spellings and competed sportingly against each other. The happiness and excitement was quite visible in their eyes as they felt triumphant after answering well. Overall, it was a thrilling experience for the participants.

GURPURAB: PRESIDIANS LEARN THE RICH HISTORY OF SIKH RELIGION
Festivals are mostly celebrated to propagate the cultural heritage of nations and to highlight various aspects of a society. On the joyous festival of Gurpurab, Presidians celebrated the birth of the first Guru of the Sikhs - Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji by organising a special assembly. Students were dressed up in colourful Punjabi attires. A warm welcome speech with a glimpse of the Sikh history was given to enlighten the students about the historical background and teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. Serenity and calmness floated in the air with the melodious and soothing hymns. The celebrations were relinquished by the closing address of Principal of the School, Ms. Veena Gaur who revealed that the motive behind such celebration was to bring home the relevance of the festival for our young generation.
SPARSH VISITS PRESIDIUM TO THANK EVERYONE FOR THEIR DONATIONS
“Those who are the happiest are those who do the most for others.’’ Presidians truly believe in this. On 19th November 2018, Sparsh children visited Presidium along with Mrs. Shilpa Shrivastava, General Secretary of Sparsh foundation to express their heartfelt gratitude to Presidians who contributed selflessly to help Sparsh children. Presidians welcomed the guests with a soothing song and a scintillating dance performance. Afterwards, the acknowledgement of Presidians and the teachers took place who donated generously for the development of children with special needs. Presidians cherished the bliss of contributing and likewise, the Sparsh family felt blessed as well. The children very happy to have their special friends from Sparsh!
EID MUBARAK: PRESIDIANS PLEDGE TO FOLLOW THE PATH OF LOVE & PEACE
Eid-ul-Milad is one of the greatest festival dedicated to Prophet Mohammed and his teachings. In India, people offer Namaz and perform many rituals as a part of the custom. In some parts of India, processions are also taken out. This is also a day to remember the teachings and kindness of holy Prophet. As per his teachings and belief, we should donate clothes and feed good food to the poor people in order to show love and affection to them. Keeping the above thought into consideration, the young Presidians celebrated the festival of Eid with a special assembly wherein they performed a dance on Eid Mubarak song and a skit. The students also learnt to be kind to the poor, ignore the feelings of hatred, jealousy and enmity and bring in an era of love, sympathy & brotherhood among each other.
TEACHERS MAKE CHILDREN'S DAY A MEMORABLE ONE FOR THE STUDENTS
Presidium Faridabad recently celebrated Children’s Day to marks the birth anniversary of Pandit JawaharLal Nehru, keeping in mind his words, “I may not have time for adults, but I have enough time for children.” The celebrations began with the teachers reciting the school prayer. The highlight of the assembly was the scintillating dance performance by the teachers. Head of the school Ms. Veena Gaur wished all the students a Happy Children’s Day. She blessed them and encouraged them to work diligently and enjoy their childhood, a transient phase to optimum. The celebrations ended with the students dancing to their favourite songs with their friends and teachers.
WORLD KINDNESS DAY: PRESIDIANS SPREAD MESSAGE OF PEACE & HARMONY
‘No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted…’ World kindness day is an inspirational day that is celebrated all around the world as a day of acceptance, diversity, and love. Presidium Faridabad celebrated this blissful day by organising a special assembly to spread the virtues of kindness and compassion. Our young and benevolent Presidians took up the challenge to do five acts of kindness spreading the message of peace and happiness. Thought provoking speeches were made by the students enabling each one to recognize how showing kindness to each other can support wellbeing, enabling our planet to be a contented place for all. The purpose of the day was to highlight good deeds, focus on the positive power and accentuate the common thread of kindness that binds.
PRESIDIANS REVEL IN THE EUPHORIA OF DIWALI CELEBRATIONS
The celebration of Diwali came alive at Presidium Faridabad when the whole school wore a festive look with diyas and lanterns adorning the corridors with bright colors. The special assembly marked the beginning of the festivities. It began with a prayer invoking God’s blessings and thanking him for his assistance and guidance. A beautifully organized cultural program was conducted where students were enjoyed the tunes of festive songs emphasizing the need of togetherness in today’s era. Dance troupe of Presidium added flavor to the celebration by performing Lakshmi Vandana giving the message that the light within us must help to dispel the darkness and spread love. YOUNG PRESIDIANS CREATE BEAUTIFUL DIWALI CRAFT
Art and Craft is a process of exploring, discovering, experimenting and creating. It can be an important link in developing the critical thinking and motor skills. It’s also a medium of expressing themselves and enjoy the pleasure of revealing our inner thoughts and feelings. Keeping this belief into consideration, students of grade Pre-Nursery to I tried their hands on creating beautiful Diwali Craft. Students created some astounding items like Candles, Diwali Diya Decoration and Diya Hangings. All the students thoroughly enjoyed making these craft items with the aid of their teachers and felt ecstatic after accomplishing the same.
PRESIDIANS LEARN MATHEMATICS WITH 'FLIP THE BOTTLE ACTIVITY'
‘Speak to me I will learn, teach me I will understand, guide me to do I will remember it forever.’
To facilitate and engage students in a variety of hands on learning experiences Presidium Faridabad regularly organising interesting and innovative activities. Keeping this in mind, ‘Flip the Bottle Cups’ activity was recently organised to provide a new learning experience to the students. It was a fantastic opportunity for children to engage in math activities, which they may not normally get a chance to experience in a normal lesson. The students represented bottle caps to solve different operations facts given to them. Thus, the concept of grouping numbers was reinforced. The activity embodied the spirit of exploration and teaches students to observe, reflect on ideas logically, think independently, innovatively and analyze intricately.
