PRESIDIANS BUILD PHYSICAL & MENTAL HEALTH AT SPORTS WEEK
Someone has rightly said, ‘A healthy mind resides in a healthy body’. When students are physically fit, they will achieve more academically as well. Taking part in sports not only keeps them healthy and fit, but also builds self confidence, disciplines the child, fosters sportsmanship, enhances the personality, inculcates leadership qualities and teaches the art of team work and patience. Taking this view into consideration, Presidium Faridabad recently celebrated ‘Sports Week’. Students of grades Pre-Nursery-2 took part in the fun races(30m); students of grades 3-5 participated in the Flat Race (50m), senior students of grade 6-12 took part in the 100 meter Flat Race. There were combined relay races as well. All the winners were awarded certificates and medals. It was a memorable week for all.
PRESIDIANS LEARN IMPORTANT SOCIAL SKILLS WITH 'SHARE & CARE DAY'
Sharing is a vital life skill. To instill social skills and inculcate the values of sharing and caring, students of Nursery celebrated “Share and Care Day”. They brought goodies which they shared with each other. They also distributed goodies among Nannies and Guards. To instill the caring skills in students, they spent their time by interacting, playing different games, singing rhymes with them. Students also made beautiful cards and performed the act of kindness written on the card such as giving “Jaadu ki Jhappi” to the helper staff. To teach the good habits they were asked to feed animals, to use words such as “Thank you” and “Sorry” to their friends.
PRESIDIANS INDULGE IN THE MERRIMENT OF CHRISTMAS CELEBRATIONS
Diverse classrooms promote creativity, high level thinking and collaboration. The most important lesson is to learn about diversity and appreciate cultural differences. In an increasingly globalizing world children must learn to celebrate and know the significance of each festival. With this thought, Christmas celebrations began at Presidium Faridabad. Christmas is for joy, for giving and sharing, for laughter, for coming together with family and friends. The essence of Christmas came alive when teachers and students of grade Nursery got together and shared the merriment. Students were explained how Lord Jesus came to the world to take away pain, sorrow and sins of the people. The teachers also emphasized the importance of caring and sharing and spreading goodness all around. It was surely a Christmas to remember.
PRESIDIANS SPREAD THE MESSAGE OF RIGHTS FOR ALL
Human Rights Day recognises the work of human rights defenders worldwide who act to end discrimination. This day was recently celebrated in Presidium Faridabad with a special assembly.
Students highlighted the importance of human rights act to improve the physical, social, cultural and spiritual well being and welfare of the vulnerable group of people. Students deliberated speech and gave information regarding the basic human rights. The head of the school, Ms Veena Gaur opined that we should be vigilant and alert to protect the right of every human being.
YOUNG PRESIDIANS BOOST THEIR LANGUAGE SKILLS WITH SPELL BEE
Spell Bee is an activity wherein students learn new words and how to spell them. It’s a great way to generate interest in spelling and to motivate students to develop interest in the language. It not only helps in enhancing a vocabulary, but aids in developing students’ cognitive skills and boosts their confidence. Taking this view into consideration, Presidium Faridabad organized a Spell Bee Activity for the students of grade Prep. The students were well prepared and were asked to spell out the words from the vowels taught by their teacher. They came across many new words and its spellings and competed sportingly against each other. The happiness and excitement was quite visible in their eyes as they felt triumphant after answering well. Overall, it was a thrilling experience for the participants.

GURPURAB: PRESIDIANS LEARN THE RICH HISTORY OF SIKH RELIGION
Festivals are mostly celebrated to propagate the cultural heritage of nations and to highlight various aspects of a society. On the joyous festival of Gurpurab, Presidians celebrated the birth of the first Guru of the Sikhs - Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji by organising a special assembly. Students were dressed up in colourful Punjabi attires. A warm welcome speech with a glimpse of the Sikh history was given to enlighten the students about the historical background and teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. Serenity and calmness floated in the air with the melodious and soothing hymns. The celebrations were relinquished by the closing address of Principal of the School, Ms. Veena Gaur who revealed that the motive behind such celebration was to bring home the relevance of the festival for our young generation.
SPARSH VISITS PRESIDIUM TO THANK EVERYONE FOR THEIR DONATIONS
“Those who are the happiest are those who do the most for others.’’ Presidians truly believe in this. On 19th November 2018, Sparsh children visited Presidium along with Mrs. Shilpa Shrivastava, General Secretary of Sparsh foundation to express their heartfelt gratitude to Presidians who contributed selflessly to help Sparsh children. Presidians welcomed the guests with a soothing song and a scintillating dance performance. Afterwards, the acknowledgement of Presidians and the teachers took place who donated generously for the development of children with special needs. Presidians cherished the bliss of contributing and likewise, the Sparsh family felt blessed as well. The children very happy to have their special friends from Sparsh!
EID MUBARAK: PRESIDIANS PLEDGE TO FOLLOW THE PATH OF LOVE & PEACE
Eid-ul-Milad is one of the greatest festival dedicated to Prophet Mohammed and his teachings. In India, people offer Namaz and perform many rituals as a part of the custom. In some parts of India, processions are also taken out. This is also a day to remember the teachings and kindness of holy Prophet. As per his teachings and belief, we should donate clothes and feed good food to the poor people in order to show love and affection to them. Keeping the above thought into consideration, the young Presidians celebrated the festival of Eid with a special assembly wherein they performed a dance on Eid Mubarak song and a skit. The students also learnt to be kind to the poor, ignore the feelings of hatred, jealousy and enmity and bring in an era of love, sympathy & brotherhood among each other.
TEACHERS MAKE CHILDREN'S DAY A MEMORABLE ONE FOR THE STUDENTS
Presidium Faridabad recently celebrated Children’s Day to marks the birth anniversary of Pandit JawaharLal Nehru, keeping in mind his words, “I may not have time for adults, but I have enough time for children.” The celebrations began with the teachers reciting the school prayer. The highlight of the assembly was the scintillating dance performance by the teachers. Head of the school Ms. Veena Gaur wished all the students a Happy Children’s Day. She blessed them and encouraged them to work diligently and enjoy their childhood, a transient phase to optimum. The celebrations ended with the students dancing to their favourite songs with their friends and teachers.
