PRESIDIANS SHOWCASE LAUDABLE LINGUISTIC SKILLS VIA STORYTELLING
Story Telling is an ancient and valuable form of human expression in which, the storyteller uses words and actions to reveal the elements and images of a story, while encouraging the listener’s imagination.
In order to use the art of storytelling to enhance our nursery and prep grade students' vocabulary and listening skills, Presidium Faridabad recently organized an English Storytelling Competition. The little Presidians showcased their commendable linguistic skills in front of the audience with pride and fortitude. Expanding their imagination and knowledge of the world they live in, this fun-filled competition also taught them good morals and ethical values. They utterly captivated the audience with their spunk and conviction and competed sportingly against each other. Overall, it was a pleasurable experience!
PRESIDIANS PLEDGE TO LEAD A KIND LIFE ON THE WORLD KINDNESS DAY
Kindness is something that everyone should strive to express throughout their life. Thus to make our young students aware about the vitality of kindness, the World Kindness Day was recently celebrated at Presidium, Faridabad in the form of a special assembly. The assembly started with a pledge, wherein the students enthusiastically took a pledge to be better citizens of the country. This was followed by an intellectual thought, post which, the students shared a beautiful story on kindness. Then there was a captivating speech on World Kindness Day, in which the students further learnt that kindness is a noble virtue and being kind does not cost anything, so one should be kind to all. Last but not the least, there was a promise taken by the students that they would be kind throughout their lives.
PRESIDIANS DISPLAY A STRONG SENSE OF WIT AT INTRA-CLASS QUIZ
To test our young students' knowledge and plant a healthy competitive spirit in them, an Intra-Class Quiz Competition was recently organized at Presidium, Faridabad. The quiz began with the introduction of the quizmaster and contestants from each team. Then, the rules of the quiz competition were announced. There were three rounds - Content & Knowledge, Visual and Rapid Fire. The competition was conducted in a very interactive way and the teams participated with great enthusiasm. Answering the tricky questions skillfully and confidently, the Presidians made the audience go ‘aah!’ and clap when the teams answered correctly. Every round was a mixed bag with questions from History, Geography, Science and General Knowledge. Ensuring that the teams minutely read every detail in the newspapers of the week gone by, it was a fun-filled contest.
CELEBRATING A MEMORABLE CHILDREN’S DAY AT PRESIDIUM
As a tribute to Chacha Nehru and his love for children, Presidium Faridabad recently celebrated Children’s Day with great joy and fervour by conducting a special assembly. Many enjoyable activities were organised to amuse the children on the occasion and the students of grade 3 presented a western song on the occasion with great enthusiasm. The teachers regaled our little ones with a delightful and heartwarming group song, which made them gush and cheer in excitement. On this special occasion, the teachers pledged to continuously strive to work for the welfare of the students and carve them into the leaders of tomorrow.

Packed with such a spirit to constantly strive to surpass themselves, our young achievers were recently appreciated for their hardwork and passion. To recognize the Presidians of Faridabad for their extraordinary achievements in academics, sports and co-curricular activities, a grand ceremony - the CHAIRPERSON HONOURS was recently organized. Graced by Mrs. Sudha Gupta, the honourable Chairperson of Presidium, the ceremony congratulated more than 700 young scholars with certificates of recognition. Building our students' confidence and strengthening their determination to achieve more in life, the event took the parents and mentors on a roller coaster of emotions.

Life is a struggle and the person with a healthy and strong body alone can face it successfully. Besides promoting health and strength, sports strengthen the power of endurance and promote discipline, fair play and team spirit. To laud the achievements and zest of our students, Annual Sports Day Prize distribution ceremony was held on 9th November ’17 at Presidium, Faridabad to acknowledge the dedication and endurance of our students in the field of sports. Trophies arranged eloquently was an elegant sight, motivating the students. The school was enthralled with enthusiasm and gaiety when students exhibited the dance performance. The victorious students in various sports events were given prizes for their achievements thereby boasting their fortitude. The ceremony indeed was an assonance and measure of physical might, concentration, precision, persistence and perseverance in action.
PRESIDIANS ACE BEST OUT OF WASTE CONTEST WITH ARTISTIC EXCELLENCE

Keeping this in mind, a Best Out of Waste Competition and Lantern Making Activity was organized for students of grades 3 to 5 at Presidium, Faridabad. During these fun-filled competitions, exceptional ideas were executed by deft fingers of students. Right from waste bottles, spoons to broken bangles, plastic boxes, waste baskets, old magazines were all transformed into intricate art crafts. Their imagination and creativity was apparent in the objects created by them. Helping to explore and encourage creativity in the Presidians, the day offered them a platform to show their skills in craft. It inspired young Presidians to think and work creatively and promote artistic excellence. The approach of learning by doing was indeed enriching for the students as they learnt about importance of preserving the environment and how we can use waste for different purposes.
PRESIDIANS REMEMBER GURU NANAK DEV JI'S TEACHINGS ON GURPURAB
Keeping with the secular ethos of the school, the students of Presidium Faridabad recently organized a special assembly to celebrate Gurpurab, one of the most auspicious religious festivals in Sikhism. Marking the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the students prepared a medley of activities to commemorate and remember his teachings. The assembly began with the school prayer and speech, followed by a thought and a poem invoking the teachings of Sikhism. Serenity floated in the air with the humming of holy hymns by the students of grade 5 and it paved the way for a very fruitful and productive day.
YOUNG ADVENTURERS OF PRESIDIUM RELISH THE BEAUTY OF JIM CORBETT
Learning should be a joy and full of excitement. It is life’s greatest adventure; it is an illustrated excursion into the minds of the noble and the learned!
To add an interesting dimension to their learning, the students of grades 6 and 7 from Presidium Faridabad went on an exciting three day excursion to Jim Corbett. The trip was the combination of adventure and education. All the students enjoyed and engaged in a various variety of adventurous activities like trekking, river crossing, safari in jungle, pugmarks study, nature walk and journal writing. Packed with the enormous and rich beauty of the flora and fauna, this forested wildlife sanctuary in northern India’s Uttarakhand State offered a bag full of fruitful and memorable experiences for the leaders of tomorrow.
FOSTERING A SOCIO-CULTURAL SIDE IN PRESIDIANS WITH LANGUAGE WEEK
Knowledge of languages is the doorway to wisdom!
Known as the ‘window to the world’, language is the medium through which, a person can express his feelings freely throughout the world. Keeping this in mind, Presidium Faridabad recently celebrated the 'language week' activities for students of grades 3 to 12. Featuring a lot of exciting English, Hindi, French and Sanskrit language activities throughout the week, the Language Week was a huge hit.
The fun-filled English language activities included Pictionary, Inter-Class Speak Out, Character Sketch, Figures of Speech, Extempore, Radio Show, Shakespeare's Monologues, Literary Quiz and Soliloquies. Whereas in Hindi, there were activities like Kahani Nirman, Ashubhashan, Vaad-Vivaad, Hindi Quiz, Natya Rupantar, Hasya Kavi Sammelan and Doha Gyan. To foster a socio-cultural aspect, Sanskrit and French activities were also conducted for the students, which included French Dialogue Writing/Shlok Lekhan, French Fair/Sanskrit Quiz, French Faire/Neeti Shlok Ucharan, Enrive-Un-Recit/Sanskrit Prashnawali.
It was a pleasure to see the leaders of tomorrow taking impressive interest in each language activity with lot of enthusiasm. Highlighting the global importance of each language, the Language Week encouraged the Presidians to maximize their resources for the best learning experience possible.
