“Leaders are not born but are made by their experiences in life”. To inculcate the leadership qualities in students and to give them a feel of functioning of the administrative body, a school cabinet was formed at Presidium Faridabad and the investiture ceremony was held on 9th July 2016 at the school premises.
The Hon’ble Chairperson of Presidium, Mrs. Sudha Gupta, presided over the ceremony as the Chief Guest. Other eminent members of the school management also graced the occasion with their benign presence.
The ceremony began with the hoisting of National flag and the synchronous and melodious National Anthem. Student council members welcomed the Chairperson and guests with bouquets and escorted them to the venue for lamp lighting.
An enchanting Ganesh Vandana was the curtain raiser of the grandeur that followed. The audiences were left mesmerized by the beautiful performance given by the budding dancers and the melodious school song presented by the school choir.
As the ceremony proceeded, Tanishq Mehra and Yukti Malik of Class XI, were elected as the Head Boy and Head Girl of the school. Sixteen other important members of the school council and six club profiles (Senior Council- 36 members and Junior Council -18 members) were also elected.
Mrs. Sudha Gupta and the school Principal presented badges and table flags to the newly elected members of the school council.
In her address, the Chairperson appreciated the efforts by the school for providing opportunities to the students to take part in activities like these. She also congratulated the newly appointed school cabinet members for their preparedness to take responsibilities and cautioned them against allowing such responsibilities hinder their academics. She advised the students to use these opportunities and balance them well with academics to excel in both.
The Principal of the school administered the oath to the members of the cabinet. He addressed the newly elected council and wished them luck. He gave a call to every member of the School cabinet to be exemplary to other students and serve them well.
The Vote of thanks was given by the Head boy and Head Girl and the programme concluded with pride and smile gracing the faces of one and all present at the ceremony.
