A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies; a man who never reads lives only one!
To celebrate the International Literacy Day and highlight the importance of literacy to the individuals, communities and societies, Presidians from grades 1 to3 of Faridabad recently came together for a 'story reading competition'. Implying that literacy is every human being's right and a tool of personal empowerment, the celebration inspired all to develop a healthy reading habit as it not only aids in better communication skills but also helps in mastering the language and developing logical thinking. The students read a familiar passage from the textbook with proper voice modulation, fluency and confidence. They were able to understand the context and underlying meaning of the content. Showcasing their immense lingual talent to the audience, the 'leaders of tomorrow' brushed their confidence, diction, voice modulation, audibility, pronunciation and overall presentation.
